Top 5 Reasons to Host a Party for the Night of Spirit

No. 5.  Friends – You get to choose some friends to host a party, share the work and enjoy the fun of pre-party planning. You think pre-event planning is not fun? Well, if you pick friends, the kids can play while you enjoy the company of your friends. Consider it a pre Night of Spirit get together.

No. 4.  Theme selection – Prior to submitting your party to the Night of Spirit. Have a get-together at someone’s house.  Have people bring beverages and a snack and you can spend some time with friends, see No. 5, while selecting a theme and brainstorming for creative ideas. Short on time, hit Google and Pinterest and then send a group email to select a fun theme.  Here are some ideas to get you started:

• Decades party where people come dress as a particular decade
• John Hughes themed party – Will you be Pretty in Pink or member of the Breakfast Club – 
• “Graffiti” party where guests where a plain white shirt and they each bring a fabric marker.  Then people write things on each other’s shirt.

No. 3.  Pre-party planning – See No. 5. You get it. You get to meet up with your friends to plan the party such as setting a budget and a ticket price (generally ranges from $30 to $50 per person), selecting a menu and beverages to serve, selecting the venue (someone’s home or another location), selecting activities to make the party fun and any other details that are important.
